All sewn up !

This photo, is of all fifteen mattresses sewn together ready to be added to the quilt, each one is stuffed and plumped, and is fit for a princess !

Maggie's quilt

I'm making progress with the quilt now, I'm using my Tilda book for inspiration, I came across a wall hanging in the book, called the Princess and the Pea, it includes a Tilda doll which I have wanted to make so that's what I have planned to do, as you know in the story the princess lays on lots of mattresses, so I needed 15 different fabric patterns to make them up in, (2 are plain cream coloured to break up the patterns). The photo shows you my choices, the next photo shows them made up into little mattresses, they then have to be hand sewn together.  Susan x

A quilt for Maggie's cancer center

I'm making this pretty quilt using my favourite Tilda fabrics, once it is complete, I will be giving it to Maggie's cancer charity to help raise funds, I work at House of Fraser Metro Center, And Maggie's is our chosen charity,  I will be taking photos as I making the quilt and posting them on my blog, I hope you keep watching, I'm designing it as I go,  so there might be some unpicking to be done !.
